  • What causes my insulated windows to get fogged up?

Insulated windows typically become fogged due to aging, temperature fluctuations, and environmental exposure. This issue is most prevalent in windows with western and southern exposures.
  • My windows fog up in the morning, but were okay later in the day. What is happening?

Exterior condensation on high-performance, low-E glass occurs when the dew point is reached, causing air vapor to become saturated with moisture. Energy-efficient windows retain interior heat, potentially cooling the exterior glass surface and increasing condensation likelihood.

  • Why did my tempered glass door blow out into many small pieces?

High-performance tempered glass can rapidly absorb heat from sunlight during near-freezing temperatures. This sudden temperature change and resulting imbalance can lead to glass breakage.
  • Only one of the two sides of my window is failed or broken. Do I have to replace both sides?

It is not necessary to replace both sides of the window. Only the failed or broken side requires replacement.
  • My vertical slide window is not even in the frame and won't stay open. Can this be replaced?

Yes, this issue can be addressed. Typically, it requires replacing the window balances to restore proper functionality.
